A transformative approach
Soon after earning her bachelor’s degree in biology at the College of Miami in 2018, Yeldell invested a calendar year with AmeriCorps in the Washington, D.C., location, stepping into a classroom for the 1st time.
Yeldell cherished the classroom practical experience and connecting with her students. Even so, she became knowledgeable of systemic troubles learners facial area. This prompted her to explore education policy, aiming to discover methods from both of those world-wide and nearby views — major her to graduate from Vanderbilt College with a master’s degree focused on international education policy management.

Yeldell joined the school’s doctoral program in 2021, pushed by a passion to increase her abilities in curriculum progress and STEM instruction and aiming to investigate the customization of curriculum to assistance students and school communities.
The disparities in obtain she saw led Yeldell to build Entry Science, an academic consulting company concentrated on supporting children’s science training, such as tutoring and crafting participating STEM activities.
She has paused her operate with Accessibility Science until she graduates, when she designs to relaunch the enterprise and grow her providers to educational institutions and school districts.
